It allows searching the catalogue by filling in one or more description fields of the journal. Selecting "more fields" (to the right) will return a greater number of search keys.

Title

The key title of the journal. it is possible to use truncation, wildcard characters and boolean operators. Truncation is represented by an asterisk * to retrieve all the words beginning by a given sequence of letters or numbers (i.e., econom* will retrieve economia, economico, economics, economy etc.).

The wildcard character, represented by a question mark ? is used to represent one or more characters when you are searching for a word (i.e., r?osso will find rosso, russo, etc.). Wildcard characters are often used in place of one or more characters when you do not know what the real character is.

Truncating search terms and wildcards can be used in all search fields.

It is also possible to select the option "title part" to search for the title containing a given string or "exact title" to search for titles matching a specific word or a sequence of words only. The options are displayed by clicking the little triangle to the right of "TITLE".
