Abstract
The proton and the electron momentum spectra and the proton-proton, el ectron-electron, and proton-electron ejection correlation spectra indu ced by 70-ps 532-nm radiation focused to 2 x 10(14) W/cm(2) are measur ed with a 4 pi electron-ion image spectrometer. The correlation coeffi cients at this intensity are consistent with (i) sequential fragmentat ion of H-2 into protons and electrons and (ii) dissociation of H-2(+). (Ionization of H-2(+) could not be discerned.) The usefulness of the image spectrometer for probing a variety of problems is discussed. (C) 1997 Optical Society of America.
