Fullerene derivatives have exhibited fascinating properties in biological s
ystems. Several antioxidative hindered phenol units were connected to C-60
called radical sponge, resulting in its excellent solubility in polar solve
nts. The stable radical scavenging experiments were performed with electron
spin resonance spectroscopy. The results indicate that both samples show d
esirable efficiency in eliminating free radicals.
