Abstract
In this paper the relationship between the vibration velocity waveform and the current waveform of a piezoelectric transducer in the transient state i s presented. Using the AC burst voltage source, the waveforms of the vibrat ion velocity and the current at high vibration amplitude levels are observe d and the relationship between them is investigated. The effects of the bur st driving conditions on the results of the transient measurement are discu ssed based on the electrical transient responses. It has been shown that th e results are not affected by the electrical driving conditions. The beat i n the burst driving state is also investigated using these results.
