Abstract
The composition of (Ag1-yLiy)(Nb1-xTax)O-3 ceramics has been investigated b y X-ray analysis and dielectric measurement. Li1+ was substituted into the Ag1+ lattice site of Ag(Nb, Ta)O-3 ceramics. The solubility limit of Li2O i n Ag(Nb, Ta)O-3 was estimated to be in the range from 10 to 15 mol%. The cr ystal phase and dielectric properties of the (Ag1-yLiy)(Nb1-xTax)O(3)cerami cs significantly changed with Li and Ta concentrations. The crystal phase c hanged from rhombohedral to monoclinic, tetragonal and cubic with temperatu re. Strong ferroelectricity was observed via D-E hysteresis measurement, an d remanent polarization P-r = 23 muC/cm(2) and coercive field E-c = 22 kV/c m were obtained.
