Abstract
Exact numerical calculations of the thermionic cooling efficiency of single -barrier and double-barrier structures are presented. The single-barrier st ructure becomes more efficient as the temperature differential is decreased . The maximum efficiency of the double-barrier system is less than that of the single-barrier system.
