Abstract
The ferroelectric relaxation of unirradiated and irradiated P(VDF/TrFE) cop olymers has been studied through measurement of their dielectric and ferroe lectric properties. A series of irradiations with different doses were carr ied out on the samples in order to study the irradiation effect. The gel co ntent and hysteresis loops were measured to observe the results of irradiat ion. It is shown that ferroelectric relaxation becomes more obvious after e lectron irradiation. The Curie points of the copolymers are shifted to low temperatures and they decrease largely with increasing irradiation dose. Th e relaxation mechanism is discussed and the relationships between ferroelec tric relaxation and electron irradiation doses are investigated.
