Abstract
An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using a polyclonal antibody ag ainst octa-chlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin (OCDD) is presented. This method is based on a competitive reaction between OCDD and OCDD-HRP (horseradish per oxidase) conjugate against the antibody, whereby OCDD-HRP is detected color imetrically at 450 nm. The detection limit of OCDD was 0.78 mug mL(-1). Opt imizing the reaction conditions of the assay, cross reactivities of some di oxins against the antibody are discussed.
