Abstract
In this paper, the effect of small amounts of added elements, Cr, Co and Al on the electrode properties of Ti3Ni2 hydrogen storage alloy was investiga ted, including the discharge capacity, cycling life and high rate discharge ability, etc. The relation between high rate discharge capacity, apparent exchange current and apparent hydrogen diffusion coefficient were also inve stigate. The results show that at , room temperature, the high rate dischar ge ability and cycling life are improved by the addition of Cr and Al. Incr easing the environment temperature promotes the increase of discharge capac ity and worsens the cycling life. At 353 K, there are two discharge plateau s on the discharge curves for all used alloys. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B. V. All rights reserved.
