Abstract
The function of presynaptic alpha (2)-autoreceptors was studied in the hipp ocampus, occipito-parietal cortex, atria and vas deferens of NMRI mice, mic e in which the alpha (-)(2A/D), the alpha (2B-) or alpha (2C)-adrenoceptor gene had been disrupted (alpha (2A)/DKO, alpha 2BKO and alpha 2CKO, respect ively), and the wildtype mice from which the knockout animals had been gene rated. Tissue pieces were preincubated with H-3-noradrenaline and then supe rfused and stimulated electrically.
