Abstract
Edge enhancement, a type of intensity filtering of a two-dimensional optica l image, was demonstrated using a high-performance photorefractive polymer- dissolved liquid crystal. We calculated the expected images using Fourier t ransform holographic geometry and obtained good agreement between the obser ved images and the theoretical expectation.
