Abstract
The reactions of PhCN and MeCN with Pt(SiHPh2)(2)(PMe3)(2) led to double ad dition of Si-H bonds to the C dropN triple bond of the nitriles to produce the 3-aza-2,4-disilaplatinacyclobutanes, Pt(SiPh2-NR-SiPh2)(PMe3)(2) (R = C H2Ph, Et). Structure determined by X-ray crystallography of the complexes r evealed mononuclear structures with planar four-membered rings composed of a disilazanediyl ligand and a platinum center.
