Abstract
A system, which automatically measures effective efficiencies of a bolomete r mount in the frequency range of 75 GHz to 110 GHz (W-band), has been deve loped. It consists of a dry mono-load microcalorimeter and a broadband sign al source. An automatic measuring algorithm is employed to reduce the measu ring time. Measurements of the effective efficiency can be carried out in t he full band at 1 GHz intervals. Using this standard bolometer mount, calib ration factors of a device under test can also be measured over the full fr equency range. By using a phase shifter, the uncertainty from source impeda nce mismatch is reduced.
