Abstract
After inversing the x-ray surface brightness of the cooling how cluster Abe ll 1689 through the isothermal beta model, the isothermal double beta model and the x-ray surface brightness distribution model derived from the unive rsal dark matter density profile, we calculate the electron distribution an d the Sunyaev-Zel'dovich (SZ) effect of the cluster. The resulting temperat ure decrements, which are inversely proportional to the square root of H-0, are very different for the three models, with an uncertainty of 15%. Thus, the SZ/x-ray route cannot be taken as a precise measurement of H-0 until f urther observations (e.g. from the satellite AXAF) constrain well the amoun t and distribution of cluster gas.
