Abstract
Several new prompt electromagnetic transitions have been identified in the N=Z nucleus As-66 using the Isomer Decay Tagging technique with the Recoil Mass Spectrometer and the Clarion array at ORNL. The observed gamma rays fe ed a microsecond isomeric state. The strongest cascade observed in this exp eriment has also been identified in a p-gamma gamma gamma data set from a G ammasphere experiment. No transitions bypassing the isomer were identified. The lifetimes of the two previously known isomeric states in As-66 were re measured.
