Abstract
This paper aims to develop a methodology for the construction of a membersh ip function for linguistic expert opinions in a realistic evaluation proble m. It contains a PC-aided procedure of information acquisitions and modelli ng of data for favour of an evaluator's aid. It assumes that the evaluator need not he knowledgeable in fuzzy mathematics but use common linguistic te rms in the making of his expert comments and uses his subjectivity and comm on reasoning ability (and sincerity) in conversation with the system. For t his purpose, a follow-up model is supplemented which assumes existence of a single expert only. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
