Abstract
This paper presents a new implementation of fuzzy filters for edge-preservi ng smoothing of an image corrupted by impulsive and white Gaussian noise. T his filter structure is expressed as an adaptive weighted mean filter that uses fuzzy control. The parameters of this filter can be adjusted by learni ng. Finally, simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the propos ed technique.
