The fragment separator FRS at GSI was used as an energy-loss spectrometer t
o study the nuclear structure of exotic light nuclei via nucleon-removal re
actions. The measurements performed include the longitudinal momentum distr
ibutions of fragments after one-nucleon removal, the one-nucleon removal cr
oss-sections and in some cases the coincident detection of gamma rays emitt
ed from the breakup fragments. The isotopes studied range from 5 < Z < 8.
