Abstract
Lifetimes of negative parity levels in four bands in I-119 were determined by RDM and DSAM. The I-119 nuclei were produced in the Ag-109(C-13,3n) reac tion. Calculations in the frame of the CQPC model show that the model of ga mma -soft nucleus better describes I-119 than the gamma -rigid one.
