Abstract
Small angle neutron scattering (SANS) experiments were performed to investi gate the structure of micelle of n-octyl-beta -glucoside, Ellipsoidal and c ylindrical models were applied to fit SANS data. It was found that the mode ls can describe the scattering data fairly well. Aggregation number and mol ecular structure of n-octyl-beta -glucoside as well as SANS data were taken into account to analyse micelle structure. The hydrodynamic radius predict ed by the cylindrical model was consistent with that obtained from diffusiv ity by other authors. This suggests that the obtained shape of micelle is r easonable.
