Abstract
A 22-membered crownophane prepared via the "Tandem Claisen Rearrangement" w as found to form stable 1:1 complex with water, which is incorporated into the cavity by pseudotetrahedral hydrogen bond formation and observed by DSC , TGA, and X-ray structural analysis.
