Abstract
The results of experimental studies on pulsed laser deposition of the Au at oms on the NaCl(100) surface are reported. Under the conditions far from th ermodynamic equilibrium, the spatial ordering was observed in an ensemble o f gold clusters at the initial deposition stage. A mechanism based on the i dea of fractal structure decomposition caused by the development of unstabl e concentration modes in the condensed substance is proposed.
