Abstract
In an effort to understand the glass transition, the kinetics of a spin mod el with frustration but no quenched randomness has been analysed. The pheno menology of the spin model is remarkably similar to that of structural glas ses. Analysis of the model suggests that defects play a major role in dicta ting the dynamics as the glass transition is approached.
