Abstract
The Qinling belt is one of key areas for researching on formation and evolu tion of early continental crust of China. A great deal of Precambrian terri ans in the belt shows various characteristics and complex evolutionary hist ory. Early stage of Precambrian is characterized by rifting apart and follo wing integration of the late stage marginal belt of North China Block based on geological and geochemical data. Transformation from vertical accretion during Grenvillian orogeny imaged by rift system and limited ocean basins to Lateral accretion of plate tectonics is important for continental dynami cs with its background of mantle dynamics.
