Single-particle states as well as collective states in the natural Bismuth
isotope Bi-209 were investigated using two EUROBALL CLUSTER detectors at th
e Cologne FN-tandem accelerator. The states were populated by the subcoulom
b proton stripping reaction Pb-208(He-3,d*gamma gamma) Bi-209 at 20.5 MeV b
eam-energy. Forty-eight gamma-transitions and 33 levels were observed for t
he first time. Gamma-transitions up to an energy of 6.0 MeV were detected.
