A novel potentiometric immunosensor for detection of immunogloblin G (IgG)
has been developed by means of covalent immobilization of anti-immunoglobli
n G on a silver (Ag) electrode. The detection is based on the change in the
electric potential before and after the antigen-antibody reaction. Tests r
elating to the detection of IgG demonstrate that the immunosensor exhibits
a high level of sensitivity, stability and reproducibility, the linear resp
onse range was 0.2-1.2 ng/ml for IgG solution and the lifetime was more tha
n 28 days. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
