Abstract
The results of characterization had shown that it was [1 + 2] cycloaddition reaction when [60,70]fullerene reacted with 4,4,5,5-terramethylidazoline-2 -thione (1) and DL-valine by FT-IR, FD-mass, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, W-Vis spect ra. [60] fullerene reacting with 4,4,5,5-tetramethylidazoline-2-thione (1) and other alpha-aminoacids such as L-leucine and alpha-aminoisobutyric acid had been also done in order to understand the reaction better, and the pos sible mechanism was put forward based on the results of characterization. I n this reaction, reaction temperature was very important due to the reactiv ity of different ol-aminoacids and the result of the experiment had also sh own that the reactivity of Dr-valine was more reactive than that of other t wo alpha-aminoacids.
