Abstract
The thermal conductivity kappa(T) has been measured for Nd0.50Sr0.50MnO3 an d La0.50Sr0.50MnO3. In these compounds, the ferromagnetic phase becomes uns table against the antiferromagnetic order at lower temperatures. kappa(T) o f both samples shows an anomalous reduction just below T-N and a shallow di p at around T-c. Analyses have revealed that the phonon component kappa(ph) of Nd0.50Sr0.50MnO3 is actually enhanced below T-N, providing a direct evi dence for the very strong phonon-charge carrier interaction in this compoun d.
