Abstract
Cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes of two new bis(di-2-pyridyl ketone) dithiosemicarbazones have been prepared in EtOH solution and chara cterized by physical and spectral methods. The bis(di-2-pyridyl ketone) dit hiosemicarbazones were prepared from dithiosemicarbazides derived from pipe razine and N,N'-dimethylethylenediamine. N.m.r., i.r., and electronic spect ra of the dithiosemicarbazones and their complexes along with e.s.r. spectr a of the copper(II) complexes have been recorded. The complexes are bi-, tr i- and tetranuclear and involve the dithiosemicarbazones coordinating as di anionic, anionic and neutral ligands.
