Abstract
The title compound (WOS3Cu3 (gamma-pic)(6))Br(C36H42BrON6S3Cu3W, M-r = 1125 . 34) was synthesized and the structure was determined by X-ray diffraction . The crystal belongs to the trigonal system with space group P(3)overbar. The cell parameters are a = 12. 264(5), c = 15. 905(8) Angstrom , gamma = 1 20. 00 degrees, V = 2071(2)Angstrom (3), mu(MoK alpha) = 5. 490mm(-1), Z = 2, D-c = 1. 801g/cm(3), F(000) = 1104. Final R and Rw are 0. 052 and 0. 053 , respectively for 1901 (I greater than or equal to 2 sigma(I)) observed re flections. The crystal molecule consists of (WOS3Cu3(gamma-pic)6)(+) anion and Br-, where the anion is of a nest structure composed by one W atom, thr ee Cu atoms and three mu(3)-S atoms. There is a C-3 axis across the W and S atoms.
