Abstract
The revision D of the SVX3 readout IC has been fabricated in the Honeywell radiation-hard 0.8 mu m bulk CMOS process, for instrumenting 712,704 silico n strips in the upgrade to the Collider Detector at Fermilab. This final re vision incorporates new features and changes to the original architecture t hat were added to meet the goal of dead-timeless operation. This paper desc ribes the features central to dead-timeless operation, and presents test da ta for un-irradiated and irradiated SVX3D chips. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
