Abstract
A pair of enantiomeric gold(I) complexes containing enantiomerically pure 2 ,3-dimethyl-7-pheny1-5-(phenylsulfanyl)-7-(R/S)-phosphabicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2 -ene has been prepared and in vitro cytotoxicity tests showed that both the enantiomers are relatively nontoxic against healthy lymphocytes, but are h ighly potent against suspension and monolayer human tumor cell lines.
