Results: Improved microcirculation, reduced leukocyte-endothelial-interacti
on and decreased liver-enzyme-liberation were detected resulting in a reduc
tion of ischemia-reperfusion injury.
Conclusion: If this effect was reproducible in other transplantable organs
the remote ischemic preconditioning could easily be applied before multi or
