Paramecium duboscqui Chatton & Brachon, 1933, was rediscovered in Harb
in, China, in 1974. In addition to the morphological features describe
d by Chatton and Brachon, more details such as tile silver-line system
, buccal apparatus. stomatogenetic pattern, mating types and temperatu
re adaptation are described here. Although minor differences exist bet
ween the strains from France and China, the evidence indicates that th
ey are really the same species and a member of the ''bursaria'' group.
