Abstract
Chloro/pyrazolato-bridged binuclear organoplatinum(II) complexes of th e type [Pt2Ar2(mu-Cl)(mu-NN)(PR3)2] (Ar = Ph or C6H4OMe-4; NNH = pyraz ole (pzH), 3,5-dimethylpyrazole (dmpzH) or 3,4,5-tri-methylpyrazole (t mpzH); PR3 = PBu3, PMe2Ph or PMePh2) have been synthesized. These comp lexes exist exclusively in the cis form in which the phosphine ligands are trans to the bridging pyrazolate group. The crystal structure of [Pt2Ph2(mu-Cl)(mu-pz)(PMe2Ph)2] is reported.
