The interactions of various bis(pyrazol-1-yl)alkanes (pz)2(CH2)n (L(A)
: n = 1, pzH = pyrazole; L(B): n = 1, pzH = 3,5-dimethylpyrazole; L(c)
: n = 1, pzH = 4-nitropyrazole; L1: n = 2, pzH = pyrazole; L2: n = 2,
pzH = 3,5-dimethylpyrazole; L3: n = 2, pzH = 4-nitropyrazole) with sil
ver(I) derivatives have been investigated. Complexes of composition (L
)AgX, (L = L1 or L2, X = NO3, SO3CH3, ClO4, BF4, and CF3COO; L = L3, X
= ClO4; L = L(A), X = CF3COO; L = L(B), X = SO3CH3) (L)[AgX]2, (L = L
3, X = SO3CH3) and (L)2AgX (L = L3, X = NO3, BF4, CF3COO; L = L(B), X
= BF4, CF3COO; L = L(C) X = BF4) were prepared and characterised by el
emental analysis, conductivity and spectral data (IR, H-1, C-13 NMR).
Comparison is made with other silver(I) derivatives of poly(pyrazolyl)
alkanes previously synthesised.
