Abstract
On the basis of hydrothermal synthesis of perovskite-type BaZrO3, BaZr (1-x)M(x)O(3-alpha), (M = Al, Ga, In, x less than or equal to 0.20) se ries, solid electrolytes were prepared. The phase, particle size and d opant content of the product were characterized by the techniques such as XRD, SEM, IR, Al-27-MASNMR and chemical analyses. The results indi cated that the phase corresponds to cubic perovskite-type BaZrO3, the product has a particle size in the range 2 to 7 mu m with some degree of crystal twin. Moreover, M(3+) (M = Al, Ga, In, x less than or equal to 0.20) as the dopant can nearly enter the product quantitatively. W hen Al is the dopant, it is observed that part of the Al3+ ions show f our-coordination in the range x greater than or equal to 0.10.
