Abstract
The effective dipole squeezing (EDS) of a non-degenerate two-photon Ja ynes-Cummings model (NTPJCM) is examined in presence of optical Stark shift. We consider the cases where (i) the atom, or (ii) the field is initially prepared in a superposition of states, It is shown that Star k shift has an additional feature apart from introducing an intensity dependent detuning - it induces phase sensitivity in the system. Furth er, for low values of the Stark parameter the squeezing follows the re vival of Rabi oscillations, It is also shown that squeezing persists i n certain intervals of time and does not depend on the initial phase o f the atom field system.
