Abstract
The two-photon transition probability of cesium atom from ground state to n(2)S, n(2)D Rydberg states are measured by means of the field ion ization. Corresponding calculations give results in good agreement wit h the experimental measurements, and the approximate scaling law of n( -4) for the two-photon transition probability of cesium Rydberg states has been deduced from the study.
